BTS breaks all records, #1 in sales in the USA

Bts “Map of the Soul: 7” was #1 in sales in the USA in the US last year!

MRC Data (formerly Nielsen Music) has released its US year-end report for 2020 based on the tracking period from January 3rd to December 31st. Billboard reports that BTS is the second largest act of sales by total album sales in the US in 2020, with 1.54 million copies sold across the catalog. Taylor Swift ranks first with 1.94 million copies sold.

BTS’s “Map of the Soul: 7” is the album with the second largest sales in the US in 2020, reaching 674,009 sales. This table is based on physical sales and downloads of digital albums and not on total album units equivalent (which include album sales as well as album equivalents from downloads and song streaming volumes). In the ranking of the top 10 albums, based on the total of equivalent album units, Lil Baby’s “My Turn” occupies first place with 2,632 million units, and no Korean artist is in the top 10.
