The beauty of K-Pop lies in the fact that it transcends time. Regardless of style or concept, many K-pop jams resurface a few years later and go viral (again), bringing their performers right back into the game. Good music is always valued, regardless of the idol generation.

The truth is, these idols have always been about creating great music and reviving the legacy they have built over the years. Let’s take a look at some of these seasoned artists and the hits that got them back on the map!

1. Rain

Rain is a walking legend whose music touched all generations of idols after him. After his track “GANG”, which was released three years ago, a Movement / memH1GHR MUSIC artists Jay Park, HAON, pH-1 and Sik-K tried it in a remix collaboration with Rain himself. To the idol’s surprise, the collaborative track hit Number 1 in real-time charts just five hours after its publication.

2. 2PM

Every now and then, old jams pop up out of the blue. For 2PM it is their title track “My House”, which was released five years ago. The music video of the song was suddenly a witness a wave of views. Better still, JYP Entertainment got wind of the situation and blessed the fans by uploading a 2:00 pm bonus concert video showing “My House,” which took place before the members were admitted.

U-KISS was a guest star on MMTG’s “Civilization Express”, a talk show on YouTube in which idols talk about their music. The host addressed one of the group’s live performances, where the music started before the members took up position for “0330”. This ended with Soohyun kneeling and reaching his highest notes as a distraction from the ongoing mishap. Of course, this incident made her video go viral among K-pop fans.

4. ZE: A.

ZE: A’s “Aftermath” is another song that caught the attention of K-pop fans eight years after its official release. During his performance on “Radio star, ” Kwanghee expressed confusion that the track was suddenly getting so much attention and found it strange that the public should be interested in it these days. He also wished the song would be noticed back then when the group was actively making music.

5. Teen top

As one of the other featured groups at MMTG, Teen Top took the audience on a walk back in time and came back with renewed interest from new fans after performing some of their previous songs, including “No More Perfume On You. ”

6. Yang Joon Il

This entry is basically a blast from the past. Yang Joon Il is a Korean-American singer-songwriter who was back on the radar nearly 30 years later after his debut “Rebecca” went viral on YouTube. With over four million views (as of this writing), Yang Joon Il was reintroduced by the Sugar Man variety show, impressing panelists and audiences alike.
