On the November 11th episode of MBCs “Radio star” Lee Juck, Paul Kim, Jung In and SHINee‘s key appeared as guests.
During the episode, Key talked about enjoying his time in the military. He was unload from military service in October.
He said he still has some military habits and said, “It’s the first time in 10 years that I’ve been living a routine. I am grateful for the routine. I stick to the patterns I learned in the military. I didn’t know how great it was to enjoy all day. ”
As the youngest Taemin is the only member of SHINee who has not yet enlisted in the military. Key said, “There were times in our career when we had two years between albums. I regretted not leaving earlier at one of these times. I told Taemin to leave as soon as possible, but he didn’t listen to me. ”

Key continued, “The military life was the easiest for me. It was so easy to tell what to do and what not to do. Before that, I was worried and thinking a lot about what to do and I didn’t always get the results I wanted. I didn’t have an off switch. I became more and more sensitive. ”
After hearing Paul Kim’s stories about his military service, Key told Taemin of Shinee group, “I was pleased with the hierarchical nature of the military. When my supervisor told me to do something, I didn’t have to think for myself. But there were always people who said, “But we did that yesterday?”
When asked if he had ever rebelled while on duty, Key told a story about it Work With BTOBis Changsub. He said, “I am the same age as Changsub. He’s my junior in the music industry, but he got in touch before me. When we did events together, I was the guy who started prep a week in advance and he was the guy who left everything until two days before. ”
Since Changsub was his superior in the military, Key tried to be patient but soon reached his limits. He organized ensemble rehearsals without Changsub and wrote the script for their lines himself and even highlighted Changsub’s parts for him.
Key said: “I even ironed the event uniforms myself. I went to the center to tell him something, but he was taking a nap! I should use da-na-ka [formal, military-style] Talk to the military, but I couldn’t keep it up because I was so angry. I said to him: Here! I did everything! ‘”
