Park Shin Hye spoke about preparing for her lead in JTBC’s upcoming 10th anniversary drama “Sisyphus: The Myth”!
The fantasy mystery drama plays the main role Cho seung woo as Han Tae Sool, a brilliant engineer who embarks on a dangerous journey to unearth hidden beings that live secretly in our world, and Park Shin Hye as his savior, the heroic soldier Kang Seo Hae, the one long and gone dangerous way is way for him.
Park Shin Hye said of the show, “You should look forward to it.” Park Shin Hye spoke about why she chose the project and said, “I’m taking on a new genre as an actress through ‘Sisyphus’ so I can show many different sides of myself.”
Kang Seo Hae grew up to survive in the dire future that had fallen into ruin. She received intensive training from her father, who had been with the special forces. The actress said her character was able to perceive and resolve situations with her instinctive senses, and that she was quick on her feet and incredibly skillful in combat.
To bring Kang Seo Hae to life, Park Shin Hye practiced hard while attending action school. “To get used to using my body, I went to action school and got used to basic action moves,” said Park Shin Hye, saying that she worked hard and while filming in the action Scene did their best.
In addition, the actress paid attention to small details while preparing different types of clothing for the different periods and situations to distinguish between the future and the present of Kang Seo Hae. She said, “To make a difference, Seo Hae, who lives in the future, wears clothing that is comfortable while she is active in order to survive, as well as accessories such as knee pads, gloves, bandanas, and bags. Seo Hae, who lives in the present, wears clothes that look like something Tae Sool got for her. ”
Park Shin Hye said she thought there would be no beauty salons in the future and said, “I styled my hair with lots of layers to look like she cut it herself.” Since the show was long filming, she used hair extensions to maintain continuity and keep her hair the same length.
While working with Cho Seung Woo, Park Shin Hye said, “It was great to work with one of my favorite actors. While we were filming together it was fun performing together and I enjoyed both the energy we exchanged and the feeling that we’d created something together while we talked about the project and our characters. ”
“It was so amazing to see how he always managed to get the character Tae Sool out perfectly, and I was always grateful for how considerate he was in getting comfortable on the set,” she said.
Finally, the actress said, “Please look forward to ‘Sisyphus’ with its fun points such as exciting material and story, cast chemistry and impressive action.”
