BTOB Eunkwang was named an honorary ambassador for his hometown of Yongin!
On November 12, Eunkwang received his letter of appointment as Yongin’s Honorary Ambassador in the mayor’s office. He commented, “It is a great honor to be named Ambassador of Honor for Yongin, my hometown where I grew up. I will do everything I can to make Yongin known.”
Baek Goon Ki, the Mayor of Yongin, said, “Seo Eunkwang was born in Yongin and graduated from elementary, middle and high school here. During his school days he consistently took part in the Yongin Youth Dance / Singing Contest and won prizes. He became someone who fulfilled his dream of becoming a singer and now represents Yongin. He was named Yongin’s Honorary Ambassador because his story of persevering and working hard to realize your dream of becoming the leader of a popular group is consistent with Yongin’s image of trying new things and developing. ”
He continued, “I am delighted to have named Eunkwang of BTOB, who represents K-pop, as Yongin’s Honorary Ambassador. I look forward to his positive role in conveying a message of hope to all youth in Yongin. ”
For the next two years, Eunkwang will primarily participate in promoting the city’s politics and revitalizing its festivals, culture and local economy. It will also promote the city’s image by promoting its tourist destinations such as the Holy Land of St. Kim Daegeon and Yongin Agriculture Theme Park.
Eunkwang also went to his personal Instagram account to share the news and express his excitement. He wrote his post: “Hello, this is Yongin’s son BTOB’s Seo Eunkwang. It is a great honor to be an honorary ambassador for Yongin, where I was born and raised. It’s all thanks to Melody [BTOB’s fans]. Please give a lot of love to our Yongin. ”
After his fulfill Last June, Eunkwang retired from military service a mini album only and appeared in numerous variety shows and musicals. He is currently preparing BTOB 4U’s device debut on November 16.
