In a recent interview and picture for Elle magazine ITZY shared their thoughts on their career and their hopes for the future.
The group of girls who will adorn the cover of the December issue of the magazine posed for their shoot in classic looks that showed the elegant side of the members. They then sat down to talk about their identity as a group and their strong desire to continue growing as an artist.
ITZY boss Yeji was confident in the group’s teamwork, adding, “When I see the bigger picture our five members have created with my own eyes, if I feel like we did a great job, then makes me happy. ”
Regarding the specific ways in which they would like to improve as an artist, Lia noted, “Personally, I am often moved by the expressiveness of an artist’s voice or their unique timbre, so I pay close attention to my tone [while singing]. ”
Ryujin also spoke about the powerful dance performances ITZY has become known for. “Before I go on stage, I try to even turn my nervousness into energy,” she revealed. “I think our dance performances are characterized by our ability to sing live at the same time.”
ITZY members went on to explain why they believe that their confident lyrics about themselves – no matter what others think or say – are so important.
“Our lyrics could be exactly what someone out there needs to hear to move on in life,” said Chaeryeong. “It could be an important message that someone out there really needs to hear.”
Yuna interfered: “Living honestly is what really makes me the safest and most free. I believe in order to maintain your self-esteem you need to do the best you can with what you have. ”
