A fire broke out on the set of Netflix. “Kingdom: Ashin of the North.”
A castle on the Gaeun Open Set in North Gyeongsang Province burned at 1:42 p.m. KST on Jan. 7. The fire was completely extinguished after an hour.
The fire was caused by a Kingdom official who tried to melt the snow with a flashlight. A source in Kingdom stated, “While the snow was melting, the fire broke out and no one was injured. After a thorough inspection of the set, we resumed filming. In the future we will do everything we can to ensure safety on the set.”
It was shared that the finishing materials on the exterior walls of the castle first caught fire and set the wood inside to burn. Part of the castle was destroyed when the fire was extinguished. Nine fire engines were sent to the set.
