Girls Generation Sooyoung will transform into a capable leader in JTBC’s new drama “Run On”!
“Run On” is a love drama about people who try to connect with each other in their own language after living in different worlds and in different steps. Im siwan will perform as Ki Sun Kyum, a former track and field athlete who retires after a life changing event and becomes a sports agent in the process Shin se kyung will appear as Oh Mi Joo, an adventurous foreign film translator.
Sooyoung from Girls’ Generation will play the role of CEO of the sports “Run On” agency Seo Dan Ah, a chaebol heir who, in the order of successors, has been pressured for her femininity Kang Tae Oh will play Lee Young Hwa, a thoughtful and kind-hearted art student.
Sooyoung revealed that both Seo Dan Ah and Lee Young Hwa hated losing. She said, “Dan Ah, who has lived a hectic and busy life, is going to meet Young Hwa, whom she wants to take time for. Seo Dan Ah is awkward with emotions because she grew up in tough competition in a chaebol household with a business mindset. However, her strengths outweigh her shortcomings as she could still take on the position of CEO of a “Run On” sports agency and become director of Seomyung Group. Sooyoung shared, “She doesn’t talk behind people’s backs, she has no grudges and she is honest. She is the hard working guy who does her best in everything. Although her domain is secure, she recognizes and accepts things that create new impulses. She goes all-in for her people, and when someone is rude she knows how to respond regardless of their position or age. The actress added, “I wanted to show an intelligent and capable young woman leader.”
Sooyoung stated that Seo Dan Ah is a character who thoroughly manages her time, but she also invests time in maintaining her appearance as she also runs a fashion company. However, Seo Dan Ah doesn’t do nail art and prefers hairstyles that cover her forehead. Sooyoung stated, “I think it’s because she’ll think the time it takes her nails to dry and do her hair each morning would be a waste.” When asked how she completed her character with such details, Im Siwan said, “She’s definitely been dipped into a CEO role on a regular basis,” adding that she couldn’t portray CEO Seo Dan Ah better.
The actress also touched her first thoughts after seeing the “Run On” project. She shared, “All of the characters that look so cool and wealthy, but all of them are broken in some way. The process in which these people intertwine through a natural opportunity and become adults learning to converse is beautiful. “Sooyoung shared,” I wanted to express a love that breaks the rules I’ve been protecting so far and makes me forget the consequences.
“Regarding Kang Tae Oh She shared, “The reality is he’s goofy and cute so the vibe on set is good. He’s also good at acting, so I rely on him a lot. ”
