When the fight between Lee Yeon and Imoogi in “Tale of the nine-tailed” The producers of the drama shared four points to watch out for!
“Tale of the Nine-Tailed” is a fantasy-action-romantic drama that stars Lee Dong Wook than the male gumiho (a mythical nine-tailed fox) Lee Yeon and Jo Bo Ah as producer Nam Ji Ah trying to find her lost parents. Kim Bum plays Lee Rang, the mischievous half-brother of Lee Yeon. You get into a mysterious case with Imoogi (Lee Tae Ri), a snake animal in human form.
Imoogi was the reason Lee Yeon was separated from his first love Ah Eum (Jo Bo Ah) 600 years ago. Recently he was resurrected on a mysterious island and returned even more powerful than before. On November 10, the drama shared four key points before the Lee Yeon and Imoogi showdown. Check them out below!
1. Lee Yeon’s power to control rain and wind
Lee Yeon used to be the mountain spirit who ruled the Baekdudaegan mountain range, and he has shown his formidable powers to control wind and rain since the first episode. He used his powers to save Nam Ji Ah from becoming a human sacrifice on the island, and he also controlled the wind to make young Lee Rang’s kite fly.
Although Lee Yeon was a powerful mountain spirit, Imoogi could cause him great torment in the past by shooting him with an arrow covered in evening primrose. Viewers wonder what strategies Lee Yeon will employ against Imoogi, considering his enemy knows his weakness for evening primrose and whether the former mountain spirit will be able to reach his full potential.
2. The potential for Taluipa to lend a hand
Lee Yeon made a deal with the immigration service for the afterlife when Ah Eum died and agreed to work for them to revive Ah Eum. The character Taluipa (played by Kim Jung Nan) is a senior immigration bureaucrat for the afterlife and the sister of the supreme ruler of the underworld. She is an advocate of the rules as she protects the laws of the underworld and often argued with Lee Yeon, but she has shown how much she cares about him.
She also has the power to sense events that happen far away, so she told Lee Yeon that part of Imoogi woke up when Nam Ji Ah gave up her fox pearl. She also worried that Lee Yeon might sacrifice himself for love like her own son, who cannot be reborn because he has given up his own life.
Taluipa knew immediately when Lee Rang tried to outsmart her by disguising himself as Lee Yeon in order to break his contract with Imoogi’s servant (Uhm Hyo Sup) and she showed that she was on Lee Yeon’s side. With Lee Yeon determined to face Imoogi in a final showdown even if he has to break taboos, fans are excited to see if Taluipa will step up to help Lee Yeon eliminate the villain.
3. Imoogi’s ability to read minds
Imoogi has a deterrent force to invade people’s minds. In addition to being able to read the minds of the “CEO” acting as his servant, he could also immediately see the pain deep within Lee Rang over his older brother Lee Yeon.
Imoogi teamed up with Eodugsini (Shim So Young) to engage Lee Rang and Nam Ji Ah in nightmare visions and test Lee Yeon, and he found that Lee Yeon couldn’t kill Nam Ji Ah in this life. Imoogi has now managed to take on the role of an intern at the broadcaster and to get closer to Nam Ji Ah. He could read the minds of the people on the ward and he had Nam Ji Ah encounter the missing nail that Nam Ji Ah found in the CEO’s house, leading it to confirm the CEO’s true identity.
The animal then made an offer to Lee Yeon: he will let the parents of Lee Rang, Nam Ji Ah and Nam Ji Ah live if Lee Yeon just gives him his body. Since Imoogi is an expert on psychological warfare, viewers should keep an eye out to see if his power allows him to see Lee Yeon’s mind and turn the tables.
4. The loyalty of the CEO, Imoogi’s right hand
The CEO has survived since the Joseon Dynasty by eating ground cherries, known as human souls, to extend his life. This shows how ambitious the man is. However, the CEO looked scared when Eodugsini, who survived from people’s fear, tried to take his hand and raise questions about the character. The fans are curious to see whether the CEO will remain loyal to Imoogi until the end and what his real intentions are.
The “Tale of the Nine-Tailed” production team stated, “If the fight between Lee Yeon and Imoogi starts in earnest, there will be extreme action and an explosive plot.” They added, “We hope you will be excited to see what happens next in Lee Yeon and Imoogi’s battle for Nam Ji Ah, which has gotten bigger and more intense.”
“Tale of the Nine-Tailed” will air Nov. 11 at 10:30 pm KST.
